Our Story

Welcome to the Luxurious Handmade Chocolates Shop in New York City!

Not Just Chocolate was founded by husband and wife duo Sergei and Lena Potekhin. The Potekhin’s have decades of experience handcrafting delicious chocolate masterpieces. Lena Potekhin trained at the prestigious Barry and Callebaut Chocolate Academy.  Sergei’s and Lena’s passion and dedication has led to numerous awards in many European Chocolatier competitions.

The Potekhin’s pride themselves on using high quality ingredients and state of the art techniques in creating each intricately detailed chocolate design. They place a great deal of time, effort and love into every piece they make.

The Potekhin’s are now Brooklyn residents. They opened their official U.S. flagship store in Brooklyn, NY in the fall of 2019.  After years of servicing European customers, the Potekhin’s are thrilled to present their edible works of art to customers in the U.S.
